Atrail Septal Defects (ASD)
This heart defect is caused by an abnormal opening septum (a wall like structure) between the bottom two chambers of the heart, which then allows blood to flow directly from the left to right ventricles. The blood is now recirulationg through the pulmanary artery and lungs. Recirculation of blood that has already been oxygenated puts very much strain on the heart. The Opening can range from anywhere between 1 milimeter to several centimeters across the Septum
Aortic Stenosis (AS)
this type of Congenital Heart Defects is caused by a narrowing in the Aorta, a major artery leading to the heart. This results in the Aorta been un-able to circulate blood flow from the left ventricle. This defect varies in seriouslyness depending on the size or condition of the narrowing in the Aorta.
